“Mind Your P’s&Q’s”

This is something that my parents always said when I went to a friend’s house. "Mind your P’s & Q’s" which was short for "remember to say please (Ps) and thank you (Qs)." When I asked the 8th graders for another way to end a prayer besides Amen, Hunter shared a great idea, "Please and thank you." What a great way to end a prayer! Please – for what we ask in the name of Jesus in that prayer but also "thank you" for the answers, whatever they may be, that God provides to our prayers. Awesome thought from Hunter and a great way to look at prayer and end our prayers, I may just try this on Sunday.
