For the love of…

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold. Proverbs 22:1

I had a start yesterday when my kids were talking about what they wanted to be when they grew up. Unfortunately money seemed to be one of the driving factors. Lately I have been thinking about how a church interacts with the community and I believe that our reputation is one of the most important things.

A community doesn’t think about how pure our doctrine is or how much our liturgy is by the book, the community sees what we do in the community. How we live our faith, how we serve them, our self sacrifice are the factors that create the questions that can lead to faith.  It’s then that they can discover the foundation on which we act in Jesus Christ.
