Readings for March 8th

How many years of suffering with Jacob over the loss of his son Joseph did it take before the jealous brothers would have been willing to lay down their lives for Jacob’s new favorite, Benjamin?
I wonder, in the experience of heaven what it would be like for Jesus to wait from the Fall until the Nativity. Would that have been tortuous? Jesus was prepared from the beginning, even before, to lay down his life for us. Our sin was His motivation, moving Him to act. We’d gladly give up our own brother if it meant serving our own needs, instead God gives up His own Son to fulfill our greatest need and completing His love for us through Him.
